Rented Quarters // General Update

Friends- It is LONG past time to get another email out to those who have signed up to stay in touch.  (If you forward this or others ask how they can receive emails, have them go to

I have been trying to find a place for me to “pick up where I left off” in 2 Timothy for the last 2 months, but so far I have not been able to find an appropriate place with adequate size in an accessible location.  Early last week I thought the Lord had provided a great spot for us but then heard at the end of the week it would not be available.  

Please join me in praying for a place with at least 1000 seats located in central North Dallas  - preferably one that already has seating and some AV capabilities.  End of the day though…people in “rented quarters” (See Acts 28:30-31) can’t be too choosy.  

So back to the drawing board.  Meanwhile …since the “rented quarters” have not yet been secured, I thought I would look for something smaller where those who are able can join me simply to PRAY.   While I am still hopeful something else will come together - even if it is an outdoor facility - that will enable me to serve all my friends but I am definitely going to at least gather with those who want to join me to pray for wisdom and direction in the days ahead.  I will send out another email by end of day Wednesday with details.   Thank you for your patience and praying with me for God’s provision. 

Finally, I want to thank all of you that have been so encouraging these last months, especially those of you who made the effort and were able to join me in late January at the Flight Museum.  The only sadness I had after that evening was there were so many of you I did not get a chance to greet, thank and reconnect personally with. Thank you also for the MANY of you that let me know you wanted to join us that evening but had prior commitments or responsibilities that didn’t allow you to be there.  

The notes, social media connections, phones calls, emails and personal conversations with the many I have run into around Dallas have been a source of constant encouragement.  Thank you.

Alex and I continue to pray about what is “next” and while we certainly haven’t seen the “driving wind” that will split the sea before us, we have at least started to sense a gentle breeze that is more than the stillness of the early months which followed my leaving Watermark.  As I shared with many of you in January, whatever the Lord has for me in the days ahead I intend to use the gifts He has given me to encourage, equip and strengthen my friends in this city and any place I am asked. Please keep praying with us as we discern the best way to steward our days beyond the joy of gathering with friends to study God’s word which we hope starts again soon.

I will get word out ASAP on where I am gathering friends to pray and fellowship this Thursday…and if I can find the right place (Klyde Warren Park was already booked) I am going to do a simple “sunrise Easter service” outside this weekend for my family and anyone that would encourage.  Stay tuned!
