Passion Week

Friends - specifically ‘to those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord’.* I pray you have been intentional to have been in the gospels finding encouragement from all your King accomplished for us during His last days on earth.

This is the week that is the source of ALL our grace from the Father and all our peace with the Father. My sweet wife pointed me to the best devotional app (Easter Now) I have seen to guide you thru the events of our hope.

The most important days of the week are yet to come so I encourage you to download the app if you are looking for a helpful resource to remind yourself of what true ‘passion’ looks like.

Meanwhile, having been personally encouraged by those truths, I wanted to invite you to join me Easter morning for a few minutes of reflection on one of my favorite spots in all of Israel. Having just returned from the place where our God most fully revealed Himself, it is once again fresh in my mind how Jesus prepared Himself for ‘this week’ and what we can learn from Him. While I will be away from Dallas for the first time in almost 40 years on Easter weekend, I do not want to be away from the chance to encourage my friends on this greatest of mornings. So look for an Easter weekend post from me on Instagram @wordsfromwags for a few minutes of encouragement and teaching that I pray will encourage and bless you before you leave your house to join other believers in corporate rejoicing that He is risen. It will bless me to encourage you this way and I think the short teaching and challenge will be a blessing to you.  Thank you to each of you who are investing with me at Unhindered.org as I continue to steward my days teaching, discipling, serving and helping others. While the Lord has not yet fully revealed His specific plans for me - I need no insight to spend my days faithfully following all He has already commanded. That is why with your help, I find myself daily “in the way” of individuals and groups the Father wants me to equip, encourage, and serve. It has been humbling to see and respond to the opportunities daily around me.

Without you, I would not have been able or available to serve pastors in Cuba, encourage others in Israel, gather leaders in Phoenix, equip leaders in Dallas, consult with ministry leaders across the country, lead a conference this summer for pastors in the Czech Republic, or further prepare for the formal launch of the “1613project”. Stay tuned for more on this last effort, but suffice it to say, God’s people need to be strong in the face of a crumbling culture and be reminded to not confuse being loving with being loved.

The world has been perverted by a misunderstanding of love - and it will be preserved by a reclamation of it. Truth and love go together and the strong endure the lie they don’t.

The #1613project exists to marry the two again.

This effort (1613project) will require many more of my friends to invest with me at unhindered.org to make it possible to hire and provide for the leadership team which will join me as we create more resources and gatherings to help others be alert, faithful, courageous, strong and ready…the King’s way.
