Join me tomorrow at 7:30am

And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT.” Having said this, He breathed His last. Now when the centurion saw what had happened, he began praising God, saying, “Certainly this man was innocent.”And all the crowds who came together for this spectacle, when they observed what had happened, began to return, beating their breasts.  Luke 23:46-48

Friends- as we move through what the Church has traditionally called Holy Saturday - my prayer for you is that you are not "beating your breast" but rather walking in the joy of knowing the end of the story.

In many ways our entire lives are "holy Saturdays" - an interim between Jesus' finished work for us and the glory of a resurrected life and earth.  We know "today" is not what we want it to be but we KNOW the future beauty and hope of what is coming.

I would love to be a part of encouraging you tomorrow (unpromising weather forecasts makes outside a bad option) and think the best way to do that is via Instagram Live.

Wake up, grab a cup of coffee, and JOIN ME tomorrow at "sunrise" (7:30am)  for a short celebration of the hope we have in light of what God

has already done

Download Instagram and follow me @wordsfromwags and I will "be live" at 7:30am

and we will all go to God's Word together. Later we can all head out to be with others (I'll be at Onward Community Church in Frisco at 11am) but let's gather for 30 minutes to start our day and be reminded of how Jesus made it through His "holy Saturday" so we can live with the same victorious faith and hope in ours. I'll even spend a little time explaining what God's Word means when it says Satan "put into the heart of Judas Iscariot to betray Him" - which I think you will find helpful as you protect yourself against the rebellious thoughts/temptations Satan wants you to embrace.

See you tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. -  He is RISEN!

(If you want to practice joining me on Instagram Live... I am going to jump on twice today just to make sure you know you can! Join me at 12:30pm or 4:30 pm for 5 minutes of congratulatory- "I knew you could do it" chatter so we will be ready to go in the morning.)
